Navitise Consulting is an Irish business consultancy run by Padraig Ryan, helping organisations achieve their strategic objectives through hands-on support across strategy, operations and transformation. The work spans strategic support, project management, operational excellence, independent reviews, bespoke support, and change management — all delivered as a trusted advisor relationship with clients whose challenges are unique to them.
When Padraig came to me, Navitise had a strong service offering but no digital presence — making it harder to demonstrate credibility to the mid-to-senior decision-makers he was targeting.
The original brief was a template-based, customised Webflow website build — a four-page structure (Home, About, Services, Contact) with branding alignment, content support, hosting setup, and SEO-ready foundations. I quoted that work at €1,400–€1,700 over a four-week timeline.
After Padraig had time to consider it, the budget needed to come down. Rather than scaling the work into something neither of us would be proud of, we sat down and rethought the engagement entirely.
I proposed a hybrid model. Padraig would build the front-facing site himself on Webador — a no-code platform that gave him full ownership and the ability to maintain and update the site himself going forward. I would come in at the points where my input would have the highest impact: auditing what he had built, advising on copy, layout, styling and structure, then handling the technical setup and launch once he had implemented the changes.
The audit covered the things that most often quietly hurt small business websites:
#1E4052), with hex, RGB and CMYK values so Padraig could apply them confidently.Once Padraig had implemented the recommendations on his Webador build, I took over for the technical side — backend setup, domain configuration, GDPR and cookie compliance, and launch.
Navitise Consulting went live with a professional, on-brand website that Padraig owns and maintains himself, delivered at a fraction of the originally quoted budget. Padraig kept full control of his own content and platform, got the technical and strategic input where it mattered most, and was able to put his available budget toward growing the business rather than the website itself.
"He delivered everything seamlessly, stayed in close communication throughout, and has continued to check in since. The tailored service, attention to detail, and quality of customer engagement were exceptional."— Padraig Ryan, Owner, Navitise Consulting
This project is a good example of how I try to work with small businesses. The cheapest option isn't always the right one, but neither is the most comprehensive. Sometimes the right answer is a hybrid — meeting clients where they actually are, with the budget they actually have, and finding a structure where everyone gets value for their money.
